Our Journey and Mission
Australasian Corrosion Consultants (ACC) began its journey in 1987 when Leon Cordewener founded the business to support rural water boards with cathodic protection solutions. In 2001, Bill and Susie Gerritsen took the reins, expanding ACC’s reach across industries including oil and gas, construction, and infrastructure. Over time, the company grew from a regional operation into a national leader in corrosion consultancy, known for its technical expertise, reliability, and approachable service. Today, ACC continues to evolve, delivering solutions that protect and extend the life of Australia’s essential assets.

Meet Our Expert Team
Bill Gerritsen
Managing Director / Principal Corrosion Technologist / Technical Director
Bill has worked in the corrosion industry for 37 years for a variety of companies and the public service associated with the management and supply of corrosion and electrolysis services. His responsibilities included administration, recruitment, marketing, budgets, workforce planning, training & supervision, safety, operations, improvements, productivity improvements and company administration.
Bill has experience in the management of corrosion on pipelines, bulk liquid containers, civil infrastructures and the repair of corrosion damaged concrete infrastructure and buildings. His experience includes design, installation and commissioning of cathodic protection systems for metallic and concrete structures, corrosion investigation on metal and concrete structures, specification and scope of work documentation, defect investigations, and project management. Bill’s experience has been gained in such industries as Water & Sewerage, Power Generation and distribution, Marine & Ports, Oil and Gas Refining and Processing, Industrial and Building Construction and repair.
Susie Gerritsen
Director / Financial Controller
Susie has worked in small businesses for all of her working career. She has a vast knowledge in office management and finance, having started her career in the office of a chirporactic clinic. Deciding to follow her dream of owning a small business; Susie and Bill combined their skills. Susie now enjoys running the financial side of the business and oversees the office management.
Reece Baines
General Manager
Service focused general manager dedicated to providing positive customer experiences. Outstanding financial and commercial acumen that helps drive this exciting business. Experienced sales leader with sound judgement, excellent communication skills and performance oriented.
Skilled in sales and operations management and has a Master of Business Administration (Technology Management).
Tiffinie Reeves
Business Manager
Tiffinie completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) at Monash University: then went to work full time for Crown Melbourne in the Events area; while completing a Graduate Certificate in Event Mangement. To pursue her personal dream of travelling she then headed overseas where she spent the next three years working in the events industry. on returning to Australia she continued on at Crown Promenade in Events and eventually worked her way up to the Executive Assistant for the Crown Retail General Manager. Tiffinie has now brought with her an extensive knowledge in administration and organisational skills.
Linh Vu
Senior Corrosion Engineer
Linh has a Batchelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical and Computer Systems. He is experienced in corrosion investigations, design, installation, commissioning and monitoring of cathodic protection systems.
Rhys Mahoney
Corrosion Engineer
Rhys has a Batchelor of Engineering (Honours) in Materials Engineering and is a current member of NACE/AMPP International and Engineers Australia. He is experienced in corrosion investigations, design, installation, commissioning and monitoring of cathodic protection systems.
Jairo Pardo
Corrosion Engineer
Jairo is an experienced Metallurgical and Integrity and Corrosion Management Master and practices as a Materials Engineer and Corrosion Engineer. He is a current member of Engineers Australia and is actively involved with cathodic protection system design, supply, installation and monitoring.
Litzen Jacob
Corrosion Engineer
Litzen has a Batchelor of Engineering – Materials and is a current member of Engineers Australia and has AMPP International CP2 Technician accreditation. He is involved with commissioning and monitoring of cathodic protection systems.
